Agreed. When you exercise at work, you don't have to after work. I worked in a warehouse for two months and lost like 7 pounds. The downside was that I started work at 3:45 am and didn't really need the paltry paycheck, so fuck 'em. I have since gained back those 7 pounds and a few others.

They probably had the final candidate already selected when you first stopped by.

HR people are lazy and stupid and probably didn't want to interview anyone else.

Open to anything, unfortunately I am a nothingmaster. I am a quick study and know a bit about everything making me a pretty well rounded and productive employee, but on paper I know fuckall, hence retail. Def. learning the "nobody else is qualified for shit" thing. Just because someone is an "expert" in a field, they're just another mammal, and in almost all cases, if another person is put in that situation, given 6 months or a year of training, they could perform the exact same job, equally or better. Sell your balls off from job to job until you get into the position you want, and mitigate the shit you have to deal with in the meantime. (I'm just learning this myself)

I tried to pay for a flight with an Airline that only accepted Visa and Mastercard. The transaction was declined. I called Citibank, they tell me "Oh... yeah we declined that, sorry it's kind of normal for a large transaction to get declined from time to time." "So can you please make sure it will be accepted when I attempt again?" "No, I'm affraid it will be declined again - you're just going to have to use another card." WTF, they're basically telling me to switch banks.
