It's like Madonna living in England and suddenly speaking with a British accent.
I've dealt with this a lot, and it's irritating beyond belief. The worst is when one of your dumbass friends travels abroad and when they come back they act all high and mighty, pretending to be worldly, and the only way you can possibly understand is to travel to some dump in south east Asia yourself. I get it, traveling is cool and I hope to do some of my own soon, but acting like you're suddenly this cultured, cultivated person when we both know you aren't is a total douche bag move.
