I guess knowing 30 seconds in advance would be nice if you were by someone you cared about. You could tell them all of your passwords so they could get your shit with ease.

You could also determine a secret signal that you would relay from the other side. This could be used to see if ghosts exist.

But you'd probably just freak out.
