A gunner in law school is the person who won't shut the fuck up. Sometime profs ask for volunteers and some people will spend the whole goddamn class talking. The gunner also proves that there are stupid questions and stupid people who ask questions. This is part of the socratic that is frustrating. An instructor will toy with a dumbass for 45 minutes embarrassing the shit out of him while this person doesn't give correct responses and the gunner keeps coming back for more without realizing his foolishness.
Most likely, somebody is going to get fed up with both the instructor and the gunner to shut the fuck up and quit wasting class time. It's most likely going to be a middle of the pack student who takes half a semester to realize they spent half a semester talking about incorrect material and that student is now pissed off.
The gunners typically never learn. However the instructor will get a clue after enough students just tell him to cut the shit and move things along.
