It's a homemade flamethrower. There was a huge article online about it but I don't remember where it was.

I never asked what it was, i asked what was on his back. I also asked about the strip of fire on the ground, but in retrospect it's probably the initial line of whatever type of fuel they're using to light the fire that landed on the ground and caught fire.
