I'm sorry, I just don't see Sharia taking hold in the U.S. because they want to build a mosque in New York. It's not like they don't already exist.

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

I live next door to a mosque which kind of sucks because Muslims can't drive for shit and on Fridays my quiet little street turns into a god damned circus. I nearly killed one of them the other night when he decided to make a U-turn in the middle of the street so he could park on the other side without any signal or warning or any realization that I was right behind him. I could have t-boned him all the way to Allah if I wanted, and believe me, it was tempting.

Personally, I could give a fuck less about the ground zero Mosque ... what I do care about is that eventually this all going to come to a head when the entire world has had enough with Islam and decides to do something about it. It may be a century or two before this happens, but eventually "tolerance" will have allowed too much.

Agreed, and when that happens, we should definitely act out against it. But as I said before, right now it's not. I have shown myriad times on this forum that i'm against all religion -- i'm clearly not an Muslim sympathizer. But fair is fair. As soon as everybody is willing to deal with the problems of Christianity influencing politics, then we'll move on to the much smaller (at least now) threat of Islam influencing politics.

Within half a mile of Ground Zero you'll find lots of sacred shit.

This is pretty sweet and spot-on. I'm glad to see a lot of other people are also disagreeing with Pat Condell in his most recent views on the mosque. Usually, i'm 100% in line with the guy, but in regard the mosque I just haven't been able to fall in.

and look i know that that's like the most common thing headcase liberals say when someone does something they think is bad. "ooooh you're eating meat, those are real animals, animals are people too, you're worse than hitler." and i'm not one of those people, im really not. but this is a guy who is urging his followers to burn people's sacred text! how is this not a dirty evil act?
and someone is going to say it's freedom of speech, so I'm not saying arrest him, I'm saying fuck that guy |

Looks to me like Petraeus is a pussy that doesn't want anything to come from this, why he stepped in I do not know. What if I think twilight is sacred and someone burns it? is that nazism? Edit : second post wasn't there originally.

I like this. I like that some Christian whack-job is going to have a religious fight with some Islamic whack-jobs. Maybe this will start WWIII, a religious war. That would be full of religious idiots blowing up each other.

Except that religious institutions do not have standing armies. I'm all for religious extremists of any kind killing each other. The collateral damage would be potentially massive, though.

Did you read the article or just post a comment based on what the link said?
Regardless I understand your point, but what Terry Jones did went beyond your run of the mill religious rhetoric. Another article I read has further information on his former congregation. tl;dr? Here are some excerpts: *Hidden Prediction: some fag is going to point out that this is 2/3 of the article. Quote:
