Official Nubblies Contest #7: Stormchaser Elite - Nubblies.net Forums

After the highly contested ONC VI comes the 7th installment of Sexbear fun. As already talked about in another thread, the next Nubblies Contest will come in the form of a photography contest--the subject: Storms.

It's pretty simple. The winner of the contest will be the person (or group of 2 people) who submit the best single photograph of a storm.

Rules:
In order to verify that the photographs are authentic, each submission must come in the form of at least 3 photographs. In this group of at least 3 photos, at least one of the photos must include something that conclusively shows that the group of photos are authentic. To do this, each photo in the group must have similar colors and whatnot (it'll be fairly obvious if all but one of the pictures look similar and the single standout photo is completely different). This will roughly prove that all of the photos have come from the same storm. To show that the photos belong to you, one of the photos must contain the photographer (or the photographer's partner) flipping off the storm. In other words, the camera in the right hand, the left hand extended fully with the middle finger visible...and the picture snapped. I'll include a sample of something that would work at the bottom of this post.

How to submit:
To submit your photos, you must pm ALL OF THE PHOTOS IN THE SET to Orgazmo. DO NOT POST THEM HERE! This is going to be a contest decided by all posters of Nubblies. Because of this, I don't want there to be any type of bias...so I'll be the only person who knows who each photo belongs to. In your submission, include as many details about the storm as you can (location, date, time, etc), who your partner in photography was (if there was one), as well as which of the single photos you are submitting. Only one photo may be submitted per storm (yes, that means, if there are 18 storms, you can submit 18 photos).

Timeframe:
Submission will be taken until Midnight of June 11th, 2004. At this time, I'll put up the poll to decide the victor.

With the contest about 1/3 of the way complete, there has only been one submission. I realize the website isn't exactly in it's most active state right now...but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't want to win a contest...because winnings contests is still really cool. Seriously.

there was already a nasty storm in Warsaw yesterday, of course I captured the goodness, as well as another storm I captured a couple of weeks ago. I also capture another storm last week in which I drove 20 min. just to get a plausible picture.

I'll have 5 or 6 submissions for you Gaz' by the time it is all said and done.

Shaw fuck yes I've been a weather fan since I was a wee little lad. Storm Chasing/Following is one of my favorite things to do (I watch the local stations and weather channel religiously during watches/warnings). I would definitely storm chase with you anytime.

haha sounds good....ill keep my eyes peeled for a big storm......i am to one of the faithful watchers of the weather channel...i love hurricanes and shit....it would be fun to storm chase without all the technology telling us where one is dropping...we will be old school!!!

Okay first of all you're a moron don't test my knowledge of storms and/or storm chasing. Friday we had a storm that packed 50-70 MPH wind (some gusts were reported at 85). That was on Friday, the bad part of the storm went through Milford. On Satudray the storm that came in was directly on us and the strongest part of the storm hit Warsaw/Winona Lake(anybody who follows storms can verify this with me) at around 2:30 or 3:00. I have the pictures to prove it, jew. Yesterday (Sunday) we had a t-storm warning because a storm went south of us (it hit Silver Lake) and a storm went North of us (the cut off was right around Milford).

So before you go and spit shit why don't you know your facts, hardass.

By the way it's cute you stand up for her like that, maybe she'll take you back.

Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. The storms we got were not a fraction of what was seen to the north of us. Three people died friday because of the storms, all north of us, and they're still working on restoring power in most of the northern part of the state. Warsaw and the surrounding areas saw some lightning, wind, and speculative cloud activity. That's it. My facts are fucking straight. We got some minor storms in comparison to what was seen elsewhere. Fuck you.

There was a tornado warning and some storm activity for about a half an hour yesterday afternoon. After that, it died down, and by five o'clock all it did was rain a bit. Fuck you again.

There was a Tornado Watch that started at 12:00 and ended at 4:00 P.M. at which time the National Weather Service put out another watch box till 10:00 P.M.. There was one up in Lower Michigan (Detroit area), the way it sounds you don't even know what the difference between a Tornado Watch and a Tornado Warning is which clearly shows your credibility right there.

Here is a picture of the storm coming in on Saturday at 3:00 in the afternoon (look how fuckign dark the clouds are for that time of day). I would post a better picture but I'm saving it for the contest plus I don't want to give away what picture is mine (seeing as you could see scenery within the picture).

I'm telling you right now that you haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about,and that you are dead fucking wrong on all of this you are saying.

Yeah north of Warsaw got it worst but for the particular cell that went through on Saturday it hit us harder than anywhere else (it was short lived because it was moving at 55 MPH). Everything else (except for the storm that went through the Northern part of the county on Friday) has been pretty pussy up to this point.

Also, it shouldn't really matter if storms have hit us or not. The contest name is Stormchaser Elite...because the winner is probably going to be the person who most successfully chased a storm (not necessarily the person who best let a storm come to them).
