Miami at Boston as the opener. Boston is looking damn good. I really like what they did this off season. Miami has a lot of work to do. They really need to address their lack of inside presence.

The Bulls? Don't get me wrong, the addition of Boozer is solid alongside Rose and Noah, but I've got Miami, Orlando and Boston still a tier above them.

I remember when the line first came out over the summer and UB and I were at M casino and saw it at 63.5 and thought how crazy it was to be that high.

I wish failure on Miami. They'll probably have issues with depth and I have no idea who they will run out against Dwight Howard. Any time with a big front court should be able to push the heat around. Chris Paul would help Miami more than wade this year.

Miami is going to lose a lot of games and take a lot of flack before finally figuring this thing out. If I'm Boston I don't mind finishing as low as 6th in the East as long as my veterans are healthy.

Very pissed that I had no way of watching the game last night. I woulda stayed up and everything. Celtics are going to be really good or really bad this season, I kind of feel like they can make it work because I have a tribal man-crush on Rondo.

My biggest reason for betting against Miami is they lack a 1 and a 5. Those are HUGE mismatches that will give them problems all year long.

Also lack a power forward. Bosh, like nowitzke, are small forwards in power forwards bodies. Their big three are contained in two positions. Lebron is a hell of a player, but he diminishes dwade's effectiveness.

LeBron and Wade are too similar and Bosh becomes a role player, which diminishes his value, too. There's only one ball and these guys don't know how to share.

Probably oversimplification. They're going to be good eventually. It might not even be this season. It's very understandable that they didn't click last night given how their preseason went.... not to mention that the Cs have one of the better Ds in the league. But they will prob be good enough to get into the playoffs, so it really depends on who they can trade for midseason. They don't have the roleplayers that the elite teams do, and if they add those players they'll be legit. They know how to share, they're professionals.

Absolutely. Lebron and 12 dudes should make the playoffs in the east. He's that good and can carry a team. But the heat have way too many problems to be considered an elite team or 60 win team. They're gonna need help to be successful. Somebody else on that roster is going to have to have a career year. Not sure who they can add in a trade. I think they traded all their assets to clear cap space and sign these guys. Also don't think they can take back money either. I could be mistaken about that though.

They'll run into problems when over teams have an advantage at 3-4 positions on the floor. Meaning they'll beat the twolves every time. In the playoffs, they're only one ball and good teams probably will run right through them.

I miss the days when people talked about the Kings. It's sad hearing local fans every year talk about how THIS is finally the season where we're going to pull it together. Then we reminisce about the good ol' days. We're the city of a million Al Bundys.

They've been spouting that shit for years. I'd be surprised if it actually happened. They act like it's an arena issue, but we can't fill the one we have now anymore. Win some games, then you can have a bigger arena.

Yeah there's still hype all over Sacramento about it being in a few different areas. We actually voted on one of them a few years ago and it didn't pass. The fact is, the Kings are going to stay at Arco and like it.
