Highpoint in American racing; a huge goddamned 427 cubic inch (7 liter) v8 made by Ford when they got pissed off after trying to buy Ferrari. Listen to that fucking thing. The balls of the driver too, no downforce, nothing close to today's brakes or tires, no computers, it's cramped and hot and loud. |

G'd up from the feet up.

That cuts deep. I'm actually seriously considering starting P90X tomorrow. I've had it for almost two weeks now and school (along with graduation parties) is/are over. My excuses are starting to get lamer and lamer. Also, my woman is down to about 125 pounds since she started working in the ER and looks fantastic. I refuse to be Peter and Lois.

Creeping around as I please nonchalantly like any other Supreme Emperor might.

That's basically how those guys would get treated if they walked into gym that has a fighting team. You get beat up and mocked once you decide to actually box, people don't really care if you are going to be lazy and get the shit beat out of you, you're not doing anybody any good. Usually coaches have to have 2 different attitudes for the fight class and the get in shape class; this guy has just taken the fight attitude to the get in shape class.

Shit, that gym seems incredibly cheap for Manhattan; $143/month full membership if you do a year at a time. Boxing/Muay Thai/Wrestling/and BJJ although only 3 BJJ classes and 2 wrestling a week. Still though, hard to find places with dedicated wrestling classes for adults http://nyboxinggym.com/membership.htm | |

The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them. |
