generally sucks.
its not a requirement of my job but i do it anyway. the possible rewards are too great to not try it. it took me dozens of calls to get a good rap down but i'm having about a 15% success rate. |

what are you doing again? I forget.
When I worked for the Phonathon here at BSU i hated having to do cold calling...cause they're pretty much like >..."what the fuck do you want, kid" [ November 21, 2005, 04:31 PM: Message edited by: Mr. Blonde ] |

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.

This technically is a review, but I think would be better off in Rants. Cold calling isn't a requirement in my job either, and I don't do it. Aside from my the money I get from the loan, I get an additional $350 for each one I get on my own. The headache just isn't worth it to me, considering I could probably source 2-3 loans via conventional methods, and end up making thousands more.
Thousands > $350 |

You'll only get $500-750 for placing somebody? Thats shitty. A good recruiter typically gets one month's salary for the individual they place which adds up to a lot if you're placing good people.

cold calling sucks ass. Try cold calling a trader or portfolio manager. lol, those guys won't even give you one minute on the phone if they are EXPECTING your call. Cold call them and you'd better be on top of your game.
After a bunch of years, cold calling gets easier, but it always sucks. I get about 4-6 calls from recruites every month. Some of them are cheesy, but if they get to the point I always listen. |

ironic, as much as i respect your posts and your perspectives on touchy subjects such as rape, abortion, and animal rights... i have to admit that you just threw my bullshit meter from a (-40) to a (+594,504,004...485.)
positive meaning, you're a fucking liar and you will burn medium well in hell. |

i'm learning a very specific 45 second time line: 25-30 seconds to make the candidate trust me and the remaining time to slip in stuff about salary and paid vacation type stuff.

Being that my logic is perfect, I must clonclude that either you have the math skills of an antelope, or it's the amount of money that you're calling bullshit on. I assume the latter, though given your racial handicap it's probably a mixture of the two. Do yourself a favor and research the general income of licensed loan officers in the US. I'm not even close to one of the best, but I'm so confident that I've already made more money in the last two months than you will in 2006, I'd trade you ethnicities if I was wrong. Now then mathematical antelope, do the addition and callate puto. | |
