Well, the new season of South Park began last night. The episode dealt with the topic of cosmetic surgery, and probably had the intention of pointing out the fallacies of such surgeries. Now, when the episode ended I was actually kind of dissapointed. Perhaps I had too high of expectations, but for once, I think they went a bit too far by actually showing clips from a sex-change operation. I for one do not want to ever see another scrotum being cut open, or any of the other cuts involved with a sex-change operation. It was completely disgusting, and it set the tone for the rest of the episode.
Now, don't get me wrong, there were some funny parts too. I mean come on, who changes themself into a dolfin. The problem was that these funny parts were overshadowed by the grossness. Overall this episode just didn't have the brilliance I've come to expect from South Park. Perhaps episodes like "Stupid Spoiled Whore" have given me too high of expectations. Regardless I hope that they are packing some serious heat for the rest of the season. |

I really need to start staying up and watching these episodes... I've dropped off for about a year, and am currently undergoing some serious nostalgia. Oh South Park.... How could I have ever denied you.....
