Probably X-type 2.5 compared to C230, if I had to guess. Both are uninspiring and ugly.

Or I suppose it could be S-type vs. Older E-class. In this case, the S-type might be slightly newer, but it is still based upon the new Lincoln LS chassis, which means its a fucking ford at heart. The older E-class is ugly as sin, too.

So basically its a lose lose combo.

If you want a Jag, the only two true ones left are the XJ series and the XK series. However, even their basic platform is decades old and outdated.

If you want a Benz, the newer ones have notoriously cheaper interiors, but the older ones have a very boxy and ungainly exterior. You're best bet would probably be neither a Jag or a Benz.

I would choose either a 2000+ year BMW model 325ci or 330ci (coupe, not convertable). Just as much class or more, plus it will out-handle both of the other marques.
