This is quite possibly true... I can't remember, I do remember that the sound was far from bad. Much better than the fireman's building or some shinz like that.

If you're willing to pay for an alternate venue, I'm sure SSU would take you up on that offer. Here you are complaining about people not going to shows and you're sitting here complaining your short fatass off about where this one's being held. If it's that big a deal for you, here's an idea, don't go. I'm sure SSU won't die if they don't get your $5.00 or see your short fatassed face.
