sonic youth- shitty garage band... always have been and alway will be. never punk, grunge at best.
new york dolls?!- what the fuck, decent music but they still were the marilyn manson of the day
television- can't argue, much better than most the shit coming from ny at the time
the liars???- wannabe clash... if you want the best new york punk band listen to bad brains... leave your shitty strokes, the vines, yeah yeah yeahs, white stripes shit at the door.

black flag and misfits suck??? you got to get your shit straight. you can say what you want, but I've probably been around a lot longer than you have and I have yet to meet anyone who can deny the power and influence these two bands have had on the punk scene as a whole. maybe you don't like them, and that's your perogative, but they sure as hell did a lot more for music than televion, ny dolls, and the stooges. sure, the ramones and the mc5 made the shit easier for the masses to take, but how can you talk shit about black flag??? they ARE punk. the stooges kick serious ass, especially before iggy left... too bad mr.pop is now a commercial entity selling himself to anyone that waves a dollar his way. but good try though, it's good to see that someone can watch an episode of behind the music and think that they know what's going on.

"Oh, I listen to a lot of popular music. There's some Britney Spears songs I like. It's just about finding like something about it that you like. And not sort of discarding it because it's popular music. I think that's wrong."
-Angus Andrew, lead singer of the Clash... ummm... I mean the Liars
