Bjj is more than just about armbars, it's about positional control. You're in a bar fight and some guy tries to punch you: You maybe take a shot in the jaw, or you maybe avoid it and move in, closing the distance. Suddenly this guy who only knows how to throw punches has you all up in his grill. You tie his arms up, do a double leg take down...Whatever. Suddenly the two of you are on the ground and most knowledgable people know that the majority of fights go to the ground. Now...Wouldn't you want to know how to fight on the ground? There's a lot more to it than just trying to straddle the guy and punch down at his face. Chances are if you train Bjj and the other person doesn't he's going to be the one on his back anyway. You need to learn what the F you're talking about before you go running your fingers.
