Personally I cannot stand to just listen to crunk music for the sole enjoyment of "crunk rap". However, I do enjoy it as background music that I don't have to focus on. For instance, if I'm at a party or driving in a full car, I really don't mind hearing it.

One thing I cannot stand is "rap purists", or people who listen to underground rap, because they hate "mainstream rap". They always praise the lyrics, rambling about how talented the artist is for making up creative lyrics that carry social/political/etc... messages. To me, such rap is fucking terrible. People claim these rappers are far more talented than 50 cent and other mainstream rappers, but if these underground cunts truly were talented, then they wouldn't be underground. No rapper wants to be poor. I guarantee every single rapper would love to have the chance to sell out (and would do so given the chance). Basically, when I listen to rap, I want to hear awesome beats and a good hook/chorus.

Personally I think HCP (3/6 mafia, project pat, frayser boy, lil wyte) have some amazing beats, and even though their lyrics are usually complete shit, I still consider them my favorite rappers. Some of their music borders on crunk style, but without quite as much repetition. Plus, DJ-Paul and Juicy J have incredible amounts of raw intensity in their voices. Really makes you want to go out and stab someone.

Smoke a cigarette and lie some more -- These conversations kill.
