Marriage. It's been discussed on and off of a marriage of the Canadian and US monetary systems. Essentially a Euro for North America - the North American Monetary Union (NAMU).

I'm just starting a paper on this idea now, when it's complete it should be in the 30-50 page range, so there is lots to discuss of the topic. How would nubblies feel about closer financial relations with our friends to the North?

	The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers and be capable of reading them.
