The 8g iPhones for $199 were pretty much way to awesome for me to resist, especially since I'm quitting my job and wont have a free blackberry anymore. I've been playing with it for the past day or so, and I've already leaned it up against something and beat off to it twice.

There are really only two complaints I have with it so far, and they are as follows:

The coolest part of the phone is the apps. You can pretty much download new free apps all the time that range from pretty awesome, to "makes you want to beat off" awesome. The shitty part is that these apps drain the shit out of the battery. Since the primary function for most people is the phone, it becomes pretty discouraging to use the apps and risk being phoneless because of the limited battery. I turned off a lot of the features that run constantly (wifi, bluetooth, etc.) which is definitely helping, but it still sort of blows.

You can't send pictures unless you send them via e-mail. It's not a deal breaker for me by any means, I'm just surprised that no one thought to add that feature. Sometimes I see something funny and take a picture. It'd be nice to just forward it someone's phone without having to wait for them to check their e-mail.

Everything else is pretty sweet though. I am prety effective at destroying cell phones, which worried me about getting this one. Fortunately, I bought a cheap ($20) rubber skin for it which totally protects the outside, and it comes with a plastic screen cover that totally protects that without sacrificing any "touchability" or visibility.

In summation, if your contract allows for an upgrade on your cell phone pretty soon, I give high recommendations for this phone. If not, then just wait. The phone is $400 if you're not eligible, and I don't think any phone is really worth that. Especially when you could just wait a few months and get one half off.

I've heard good things about the google phone, but I think it's probably similar.

Creeping around as I please nonchalantly like any other Supreme Emperor might.
