There is nothing addictive in alcohol. People can control it, if they wish. Most just don't want to and like to blame a "disease" (which is as ludicrous) because saps fall for it. To me, it's groups like AA that feed off of idiots who would rather play dumb and helpless than take control of their lives. It's easier to be ignorant and claim you're a victim than admit you have a problem that you aren't strong enough to control. This is just like the guy I cited in the "only in religion" thread who is using religion as a cop-out for his lack of taking responsibility in his own life and to just stop smoking weed on his own.
