I didn't know what other thread to put this in.
Something that bothers me about a lot of liberal-minded types in our society is how much they whine about injustices but then make consumer decisions that only promote these perceived injustices. It's just very elitist and hypocritical. Example: white people who whine about blue-collar types that barely put food on the table in their profession of logging. "I don't like tree killers," they might say. But then these same white people of course want nice hardwood flooring in their huge new home that they're building. It's like, don't you fucking idiots get it? The only reason those guys are out there cutting down trees is because people like you buy wood! I feel like most of these people that I'm referring to have little awareness of the depth and scope of the hypocrisy by which they lead their lives every day. They get off on living a lifestyle that allows them to feel better than other people and have the nerve to condemn the very working class types who did things that catered to their excessive tastes.
