We really need to rid ourselves of this stigma on mental illness. People need to realize that the brain is just like any other organ and is capable of becoming diseased. Mental illness should not label one as weak or strange. Only by removing this stigma can we raise awareness and better treat mental disorders.
Whereas most people are calling this guy a monster, piece of shit, lowlife scum, in some way I pity him. There is no way any sane, rational human being would or could commit such a heinous act. He obviously had some terrible mental disorders that were not properly treated. As a result, he caused unimaginable pain and suffering on countless people and lost his own life as well.
People should be encouraged to get annual psychological evaluations. Instead you have to hide seeing a psychiatrist from people. I know that if I ever see a psychiatrist, I will pay cash for everything and have nothing sent to my insurance simply because, if the day ever arises that employers can see health records, I don't want that to be on there and have myself labeled with such stigma.
