I recently got into vinyl records as a hobby and I'm really enjoying it. I realized that music listening in my life was becoming mainly just background noise on shuffle. However, once I started getting into records, my interest in music felt renewed.

Listening to an album start to finish no longer is an option, but a requirement, and that's proven to be a good thing. I've delved into artists or genres I normally wouldn't give a chance. Also, if your in any way a collector of things, owning albums with their cover art is 10x cooler than a jewel case. I haven't tried very hard, but if I wanted, I see the potential to meet a shit ton of different people via the hobby simply at record stores and shows.
