This table is pretty interesting. It shows a random US-based individual's odds of dying in the next year based on age & gender:

Some interesting notes (using males as the benchmark):
* A person's odds of dying in the next year gradually decrease until they are 10. Makes sense. It's most likely for a newborn to die than a 1 year old. A 1 year old and 2, etc.
* At age 59, you officially have a 1/100 chance of dying in the next year. That jumps to 1/50 at 69, 1/20 at 79, 1/10 at 86, and if you make it to 107 (only 1 in ~3.5k males do), it's a coinflip if you live another year.
