Winter Intersession Classes

Has anyone taken classes during one of these semesters? It only goes from January 3rd - January 20th. I signed up for cognitive psych and social psych, both of which would be easy if they were not condensed from 4 months to 3 weeks. Just trying to get a feel for what I'm getting myself into. Mon-Wed 8:30AM-5:00PM and Thurs 1:30-5:00PM. How bad could it be for 3 weeks?

Depends on what you have going on. These didn't exist when/where I went to college. I'd really consider it if I had nothing going on, like going home, and could see the end in sight. I'd give up two winter breaks to get done damn near a semester early. I don't recall our breaks being during that time either. We were usually back before buckwheats birthday.

Depauw (not Depaul) has a huge winter break, my friends who went there mostly used it to take guitar classes and smoke pot; even the ones who went on to post grad degress.

I'm not doing shit other than the classes. Part of the reason I'm doing it is so I wont have to take summer classes in June. I'm supposed to be studying for the LSAT this summer so I can take it in September.

If my university offered such a thing, I would most certainly take them. Winter break sucks raw ass anyways (at least here in the fucking midwest). I would much rather use that time to get some classes in really fast than sit around with my dick in my hands being depressed.

Those hyper-speed classes seem silly to me. What are you going to take out of them? It's a cram and jam session. The only classes I think would be aided by this process is ones that require application through repetition (e.g. introductory philosophy and accounting).

I'm a psych major because it's a means to an end (BA). While the subject is interesting to me, I don't need to know 99% of it once I graduate so I don't care.

So winter intersession classes are the fucking devil. I'm taking cognition and social psych, which are both retard easy, which somehow makes it worse. I'm cooped up in a classroom from 8:30-1:10 (with a half hour break) and then from 1:30-5:00 (with a 15 minute break). Then I go home for some good old fashioned rote memorization. 3 weeks of this shit is going to suck.

Only 3 days left of classes and now that I'm almost done, it was totally worth it. Even though I've been schoolin' it near 'round the clock this whole time. 3 tests left and I'm done. If I didn't have to pay for these classes out of pocket, I'd totally do this again.

Edit: Oh, and that's also the reason I haven't been here that much lately.
