Yes you may.

Ninja, i don't mean to be critical, but something I'm noticing from the moustair site is that they combine the hair (especially the hairline and sides of the hair) almost perfectly with the mustache. Also the sides of the face are outlined well -- It really helps complete the illusion of a tiny head on your chin, rather than just a face pasted over your mouth. Examples:

See:

VS

(terribly done) this:

I would really like one, but I want it to mesh pretty well with my hair if at all possible. Once again, not trying to be critical and I appreciate you doing this for free.

tl;dr - Try to not cut off the top of the head where the hair begins and instead merge the hairline in with the mustache for greater awesome.

It's fine if you don't want to do it, but you must see what I'm talking about. If you're just going to cut off the tops of the heads and not merge the hair, then it's simply not a true moustaire -- because you're not including the 'HAIR' part of that equation. It's a glorified face copy/paste. It's also why it's only, in most cases I've seen other than Gaz's, why the face fits perfectly over the mouth, rather than extending far blow the chin as a second head.

I've already seen all the examples you posted. Believe me, I get the point. What is the major difference between those examples and what I've done? Those are high resolution photos and the ones I am working with are very low resolution. Low resolution pictures have less detail. And with less detail, I can't include as much detail on the smaller face without it looking like shit. As much as I appreciate your "terribly done" MS Paint example, you don't seem to know much about photo editing, so kindly back off and let me work.

If you want to help, post the first high resolution mustache photo and I'll give you some Moustair.

Mr. Blonde 12-03-2011 02:23 PM

I sent you two high-res pics about 45 minutes ago. Are those good enough to work with? I brought them down about 30% so I can get you bigger ones if you need.

Why did you quote "terribly done"?

I don't know a lot about photo editing, it is true. I was just pointing out something I noticed.

ninjaface 12-03-2011 02:29 PM

The first photo of you in the black tie, although large in size, is not high resolution. The second one of you in the red shirt is a lot more detailed and should come out nicely. If you have bigger versions of both, send them.

I quoted it because you were essentially referring to my work. Once again, I completely understand what you are getting at. Aside from the photos being low res, you guys only have mustaches, not full bushy beards. I'm doing what I can with what I'm given. You admitted that you don't know much about photo editing, yet you are needlessly over-critiquing my Moustairs. Once I start charging you for my services, feel free to critique something you don't fully understand. Until then, send your highest resolution pictures and I will make it look as though your face has a little face on it whose hair looks as though it is comprised of your mustache.

TL;DR?

You are being a dick.
I'm doing this for free.
Fuck off for a second.

Ugly Bastard 12-03-2011 03:00 PM

You'll find me firmly entrenched in the ninjaface camp on this issue enjoying a beer and staring at my Moustair for the second straight day.

Orgazmo 12-03-2011 04:21 PM

I love the moustair you've provided me, ninjaface. Please do not listen the haters hater.

THEINCREDIBLEdork 12-03-2011 04:31 PM

I like ninjaface.

Mr. Blonde, straighten up your act. You've been acting like a taker ever since you got a job.

angry pancake 12-03-2011 05:32 PM

Backing ninjaface and realize my pics were taken with an iPhone.

No...I was referring to my terribly done MSPAINT job.

Then there is no problem here...? I honestly tried to make the criticism as constructive as I could. I was not trying to be offensive at all. I didn't know if you were aware or not and am not trying to be a dick. What else can I say?

THEINCREDIBLEdork 12-03-2011 07:52 PM

Sorry. You could say that you are sorry.

Mr. Blonde 12-03-2011 08:24 PM

DID GALILEO SAY SORRY MOTHERFUCKERS?

I AM THE HELIOCENTRISM OF MOUSTAIRS

I actually forgot that he did. Shit. Well whatever he was still right.

ninjaface 12-04-2011 05:13 AM

The difference is that he knew what he was talking about and he knew when to shut up.

You, on the other hand, don't.
