I'm all for people having the freedom to choose whatever religion they want. I'm also all for people being able to protest against whatever the hell they want. If someone wants to adhere to an archaic, absurd, bigoted religious ideology then good for them. Just don't bitch when people point out the obvious to you.

I spent all night in a cell waiting on my solicitor (who the police didn't call for 3 hours after being at the station) due to having a leatherman in my back pocket.
The problem is that with knives its set up so that people are guilty and have to prove they need it for a genuine purpose, bullshit. anything with a blade over 3.66" or something is banned outright, besides kitchen knives, which aren't allowed to be sold to anyone under 18 I feel sorry for orphans that want to eat anything that requires a knife, I guess thats why they eat soup. |

Read about the Dutch guy in either the times or the daily mail online, he basically trolled the shit out of some Iman type guy by being extremly camp with his gayness until the goat hearder went apeshit on him; gay dutch guy then turns to the camera calmly and says "you see what I mean?" in reference to Islam being a fascist religion.
Frankly I do think that, even more than most other PC protected groups, muslims get away with being just outright backwords and bad for the world as a whole. If you want to be muslim, so be it, it's equally ridiculous as any other religion in terms of logical basis for it's beliefs. On a social level however, it frankly is the most backword and fasicst-esque of any major religion, yet is treated with baby gloves. I assume the indulging of radical goat fuckers comes from wanting them to be our friends; frankly the reasonable people amongst them don't need to be won over, and the rest never can, so fuck them. |

this is a good thread and I think it's going to become more and more relevant as time passes. i haven't really paid much attention to this issue, because it's not that huge back in the US right now and that's just how peoples minds work, but it's interesting to me how much coddling europe/england is doing to muslims, especially from a country that is so ridiculously much more open minded in terms of religion than America. It's interesting to think about how this will progress in the US, with such a strong Christian stronghold. |

I do believe this thread is the first time Pat Condell was ever posted on Nubblies, by Dent. I started using him a lot in the Religion thread, but it's just as applicable here, especially when it's in regard to Islam in Europe.
