I can't figure out if they're real or not. At first I was sure they were, but then I saw the Onion link... Is the Onion just making fun of the worst people of all time or is this just an excessively elaborate joke?

I thought they were real, but now I'm not so sure either. If real, I hope for fiery death with lost of shards of broken glass for them both. I really, really, thought it might be great if somebody made them eat curb for doing this.

If that's actually them, the video interview looks fake (no two people could possible suck that bad independently and then find each other, match.com or otherwise). The best man interview looks like bullshit too. Everything else I've found looks real.
