Um guys, I already won this contest handily last year with superior cunning and basketball knowledge. I'd rather it if we just didn't play this year. After all, I already have the medal, seems like a waste of time to just go over the same process every year.

Ugly Bastard 03-14-2010 07:04 PM

I'll bet up to $100 against any individuals heads-up that I score more points in this league than you do.

Cocktooth 03-15-2010 05:25 AM

After reviewing the brackets in a little more detail this morning, you will probably receieve a text message accepting this bet, Mr. UB. I still have FFB winnings to blow!

I'm your Huckleberry. Would be open to the idea of just making it a group thing if others want to do this where the top score of participators get the dough.

Ugly Bastard 03-15-2010 11:18 AM

Why don't you throw down a dollar amount for this bet and if anyone wants to join the bet, they can.

Orgazmo 03-15-2010 11:35 AM

One Hundred United States Dollars

And, to be clear, I mean this to take the place of my bet with you, not in addition to it. I'm made of flesh and blood, not money, for Christ sake.

WHO OF YOU HAS THE SAND TO JOIN THIS POOL?

angry pancake 03-15-2010 11:42 AM

Ugly Bastard 03-15-2010 11:50 AM

Just so we're clear, we have a $100 heads up bet that becomes a group, winner-take-all bet if anyone else joins in, right? And as a note to anyone else, if you want to bet me straight up and skip the group bet, my original offer remains open.

Orgazmo 03-15-2010 11:54 AM

^ Yes.

f3lix 03-15-2010 12:42 PM

I'm in for the $100 Nubblies pool AND heads up against UB.

AP! Where have you been?

f3lix 03-16-2010 10:13 AM

Wasn't sure where else to post this, so it gets put here.

Free money is offered if you take the #1 and #2 seeds on the money line. Parlay them all together and pay 7 to win 1 (or better on Pinnacle.)

Cocktooth 03-16-2010 04:11 PM

I'll take the heads up bet vs. UB, but will not be involved with the group betting.

Cool... for how much?

Cocktooth 03-16-2010 05:55 PM

The hundo you had spoke about earlier. A better man would give me 2-1 odds. Just saying.

That is not what I said at all Gaz. I figured I would save you the embarassment that you both faced in fantasy. You guys have paid enough of my bills.

Ugly Bastard 03-16-2010 06:46 PM

Alright cool.

So far, I'm on for $100 heads-up against Shaw and f3lix.

And f3lix, Gaz and I have a $100 buy-in winner take all league.

SittinOnDubsWGW 03-17-2010 02:00 AM

Bracket is made. Admittedly, I didn't follow college hoops at all this year other than one of my best friends is a huge 'Cuse fan, so my bracket is pretty typical of a non-follower.

I'm on the fence on if i'll join the $ pool.

Orgazmo 03-17-2010 10:24 AM

You're in good company, sir. I probably watched a total of 90 minutes of college basketball this season.

Jump on in.

Der Fuhrer 03-17-2010 03:06 PM

Purdue has a solid team this year. Anyone think they can go all the way?

f3lix 03-17-2010 03:51 PM

I think purdue has a great shot of winning it all. Their star Hummel kneeds to play well, though.

I see what you did here!:id:

BigDongedHoe 03-17-2010 07:33 PM

Despite my vast knowledge of college basketball I'm also undecided if I'll join the $100 pool or not.

Orgazmo 03-17-2010 08:00 PM

I honestly know 0 about it. With that in mind, you're getting good odds by joining. So join.

Ugly Bastard 03-18-2010 01:35 AM

I went 6-0 tonight NBA betting. Up $1,100. So sick... this league will be no different.

THEINCREDIBLEdork 03-18-2010 04:44 AM

Money just seems so trivial to me when theres a golden N on the line.

Cocktooth 03-18-2010 06:05 AM

Ahhh this is the greatest 2 days of the year!

Orgazmo 03-18-2010 11:00 AM

Fence Sitters, the time to opt-in dwindles. Commit now or forever live with the regret!

BigDongedHoe 03-18-2010 12:30 PM

Shaw,

Your bracket is absolute dogshit. Thats really all I have to say, dogshit.

Orgazmo 03-18-2010 01:41 PM

Why do you say that, BDH? You don't think Nova looks like a final four team in this first game?

Der Fuhrer 03-18-2010 03:27 PM

I know very little about college basketball. Basically zero if you factor out that my brother went to Purdue, and he and my father talk about/watch Purdue basketball religiously.

Therefore I picked my teams primarily based on their rank.. Only under very particular circumstances did I pick a lower-ranked team to defeat the higher-ranked one.

BigDongedHoe 03-18-2010 03:40 PM

Nova was 5-5 in there last 10 games going into the tournament. I immediately regret putting them in the elite 8 let alone a final 4. Shaw picks a Washington team who played in the worst power conference in the country (Pac 10) and really did nothing of note to earn there way into the tournament outside of there conference tourney run. He picked them to upset Marquette and go the Sweet 16.

Shaw picks Ohio State to upset Kansas. This is the same Ohio State team who has a great starting 5 but no bench, literally no bench. If anyone of their starters would happen to get into foul trouble or get injured stick a fork in Ohio State. I understand the thought that the best player in the country can will you to victory but it won't happen. Kansas' starting 5 is superior to Ohio State and they have 4 guys off the bench that are damned good.

What Shaw see's to have Texas A&M upset Duke is beyond me as well.

Cocktooth 03-18-2010 08:37 PM

Wow, I wish I would have asked BDH what he thinks about his NCAA basketball tourney. It would have made my life much easier. I could be crazy, but I really haven't seen him win anything at all within the rhelm of nubblies. I guess the next time he is around, I will shove his dick right down my throat, and let him show me his greatness. The only problem is, so far I'm sitting well. I'm sure BDH has had many battles on the hardwood and know soooo much more then I do, but I will stand by my picks. I will enjoy his normally 2nd to last place bracket. BDH. Tell me your formula. Quick before Washington gives me more hope!

BigDongedHoe 03-18-2010 09:07 PM

Washington winning didn't help my cause.

Shaw what is my golden N for? I'll give you one guess.

Ugly Bastard 03-18-2010 09:10 PM

The Big East is getting slaughtered. Notre Dame, Georgetown and Marquette all favorites that lost and Nova needed OT to put away a #15 seed. Wow!

Cocktooth 03-18-2010 09:11 PM

I will give you that same guess on how I got that golden N. Why don't you challenge me on something that you know you have the upper hand in? When will Federer lose his next match? When will I make a 180 and bang another Asian? That shit you trumph me on, but other then that, I would say I have ya.

P.S. I tried to stay away from the religion catagory. I could be soft, or well... I'm soft, but I'm trying to keep things on task here.

That was Nova's wake up call. They will be solid. Thank you Jay Wright for proving your point!

BigDongedHoe 03-19-2010 12:10 AM

Best first day of games in as long as I can remember, it was awesome altogether.

f3lix 03-19-2010 09:35 AM

Following a single digit win over a 15 seed, #2 seeds are 8-12 in second round. St Marys is playing outstanding right now. Money line and points each.

f3lix 03-20-2010 02:16 PM

Make that 8-13. SHIP IT!!

Ugly Bastard 03-20-2010 03:59 PM

Great call sir. I took them points, moneyline and points second half. Ship ship!

SittinOnDubsWGW 03-20-2010 09:07 PM

The majority of you guys just got fucked hard w/ Kansas taking a shit.

f3lix 03-21-2010 01:12 AM

I doubt this is the end of the bracket for anybody. UK can't make free throws and the first team to give them a game will beat them. Duke can lose to anybody.

Cocktooth 03-21-2010 02:28 AM

The writing is on the wall for all of you. I'm great. You aren't. Get the fuck over it.

Ugly Bastard 03-23-2010 09:00 PM

Holy fucking balls: Autistic teen still has a perfect bracket after two rounds - The Dagger - NCAAB Blog - Yahoo! Sports

Edit: Apparently his bracket was posted in a group where you're allowed to change your picks after the game started. Obviously that little caveat is huge and makes me wonder why Y! even made news out of this in the first place.

f3lix 03-23-2010 09:29 PM

Or Yahoo incorrectly citing the odds of getting the first two round at 1 in 3.4 Billion instead of the correct 1 in 3.4 million. I'm actually curious what the odds are when the money line is factored in for getting to these 16 teams.
