I wish I would've read the whole thing first...
interestingly enough, I was/am playing pacific hold-em while reading this... I got damn near the same pocket you did, only it was clubs. I bet with confidence, thinking the coincidence was eerie and deserving of following through. I ended up pulling a straight only to be topped by a flush.
