ok here is my "serious thought" on the whole thing. i did a research paper on this last year and have done other studies, so i think i have some knowledge to back up my statements.

1. false prophets

there have always been false prophets, from rev. sun moon to krishnu mirti to mohamad, whomever. you can make the argument that this prophecy has been fulfilled. i would happen to agree with that. just in the last few years? no but in the past century or 2, yes. hundreds have claimed themselves to be the messiah returning and so forth. so i do believe this prophecy is filled, but not just in the past few years.

2. Wars

once again, has this been fulfilled in the past few years? no. it has been the past century i would have to say. during the WW's everyone thought hitler was the anti christ and that the world was coming to an end. if you know anything abuot the bible, hitler obviously doesn't have the characteristics of the anti-christ and fulfilled none of the prophecy regarding the anti-christ. is the anti christ alive today? possibly. he will arise in the middle east and everyone will think he is simply amazing, nothing he does is wrong, except to christians. discernment through the holy spirit and a close walk with God will allow you to recognize him. he will solve the worlds problems for a momentary time, then destroy it.

3. famines

once again, famines have cursed ppl for centries. you could make the argument either way, i happen to believe that prophecy has also been fulfilled.

4 earthquakes

in an interesting prophecy book, they predicted a huge earthquake in 2010 in california area. one that the world has yet to see. interesting...i would like to see if that one comes true. the book is simply amazing, The Bible Code. very interesting things said in it. And yes the past 100 years have been full of increasing earthquakes. another check in the prophecy fulfillment box.

5. tribulations

christians have always been under attack, in every century there has always been mass slaying of ppl of the christian faith. from the romans to the chinese of today. everywhere they are dying. i don't think anymore today than before. this passage of scripture may be referencing the 7 year tribulation. where the first 3.5 are when the anti-christ rules and peace is assumed. then the final 3.5 years are when wars break out and christians all over the world are killed and made examples of. it is during this time that the mark of the beast is given. whomever takes this mark, which allows them to buy food, cars, medical records, whatever, cannot enter the kindom of God. instead christians are outcasts from society and are humiliated for their faith. this technology is already upon us btw. in europe families are putting chips in them to keep track of family history and medical records...

6. preaching to the world

have to agree with that one. the media and what not have the capablities to easily stretch to every part of the globe. thousands of tiny bibles are printed out and sent to africa, europe, asia, everywhere.

godlessness

have to agree again. this has been declining rapidly the past 30 years. i mean honestly just take a look at this site and tell me where the morality is in america. american youth find it enjoyable to kill, hurt, have all types of sex, and humiliate others. morality is declining, you can't argue that one

apostasy

i think this goes with the previous topic in a lot of ways. and the church is in dissary right now. just a few years ago, in the northern indiana section of the methodist church, a vote was taken as to whether or not Jesus was the only way to salvation. how sad when leaders of the church have to question salvation through the son, Jesus Christ...

army

in revelations, it is said that there is a beast of the east, north, and south. not from the west. America will fall. China will rise.

roman empire

interesting. yes europe is pushing for world unison. example: the euro. the continent's new currency. but remember the temple in the middle east must be rebuilt. currently plans are in the works, but that is one very important prophecy that has yet to be filled, one of many more that are left.

rebuilding

i already started to mention this one above. i don't like the part where they say the anti christ performs a miracle. he menipulates and decieves, that is no miracle.

i think everything else from then on, i pretty much touched on before.

i would also like to hear what others think about this. as for me i believe that the end times are coming, not upon us. many prophecy is left. but i do think it is coming. here are a few reasons. 2000 years before Christ, abraham was asked to sacrifice his son. his sone was saved by God though. then God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. now is 2000 years later...this theory suggests that this 2000th year will be when the end is coming. another theory, the 7 day theory says that it took god 7 days which = 7000 years. therefore, 7000 years later, he will return again. they believe that this is the "7th day" that the end times should come around 2010 -2020. none of this necessarily holds validity though. scripture says that many will preach the return of Christ before his return. But no man, not even the son himself knows when God will have him return, somewhere in matthew i believe.

i hope this doesn't scare you that much though. the end times are coming, that is a fact. whether it be today or 1000yrs from today, Christ will return in all of his glory. But it is good that things like this come up, to encourage you to know Christ. Hell is a very real place, as is heaven. it is up to us where we go. we can believe in Christ as our savior, or we can choose to think it is a lie and blow it off. Either way, hell or heaven will be our fate.
