What about when someone dies, and Christians say "God wanted him/her with him in heaven" or when something bad happens, Christians say "It's all in God's master plan"? Personally, I think that's a cop out, for people who can't deal with a simple fact of life: shit happens.
Also, Deists do believe in God, just in a much more rational way (imo) than Christians and other religions.
