Doping is present, if not prevelant in all major sports including cycling, if Armstrong was doping it probably wasn't any more than the other top contendors.
Horse and dog racing have both had sordid history with all sorts of doping, including several cases of giving dogs cocaine. Of course, who's to say that the dogs didn't just like to blow lines now and then.
