sounds like you are making good progress Nathan, just keep up the work and now that you've had a few months, start to increase your weight and go heavy one week. also, try to go a bit heavier all toghether and stay weights you can only do for 4-6 reps after your warm up. That is the point whrer you should start to see some good gains.

As for your weight gain after the holidaysit is easy to gain water wait, especially with all the salt and crap people eat during the holiday.

8 good pounds in 2 months is about right with a good diet, extra protein and a good lifitng regimine. But, just go by how you look....you'll know if it's good weight or not. Especially if your pants get looser or stay the same and you are getting bigger.

on a side note, I hadn;t realy been lifting since I seperated a rib the last week of November, and I dropped about 10 pounds. I was doing cardio, but that was basically it. I started lifting again 2 weeks ago, and I got 6 reps of 275 on the bench. No spotter, so I had to do it on my own. That felt kind of good, especially considering I did Jiujitsu the day before and 2 days earlier did heavy triceps, so I was fatigued.
