How often do you get in situations where a knife is warranted? Particularly when you consider the elevation of any charges when a weapon/threat of a weapon is involved.
I've always kinda laughed at people that feel the need to carry a weapon at all times, even in areas that have a close to zero possibility of needing one.
I rarely carry off-duty, but some guys I know refuse to leave home w/out their weapon.
