Shit like this is why I was such a buzzkill last fall while y'all were talking about how great Obama's speech was. I like the guy as much as anyone but these politics simply blow assholes.
I agree that it's a truly terrible idea, but I don't actually see any endorsement of this by Obama in this article. I'll reserve my judgment to this dumbass instead of to the president himself, until I see what Obama actually has to say about it.

I'm pretty sure it'll quickly get smacked down as it makes it waaay to easy to get out of paying fuel tax. All you'd have to do is pull the GPS and leave it in your garage and you'd never have to pay. Not to mention the absurd infrastructure costs.
