Disasters like this had always happened an always will. It's sad, and I wish (like every one of you) that it didn't happened, but it did, and that is the cruel reality. Those people are facing problems that most of us can't even begin to understand, a hell of terror and desperation, and the only thing they can do is look out for themselves and their loved ones until this whole situation begins to dissipate.
But what really sickens me are most of the comments that I see here... ("we should pray for them", "God will save them", "they should turn their face to Jesus" or "God bless the world"). Words are cheap, and prayer is cheaper. I come from a poor family, a poor city in a poor country. I'm not a very educated guy, but this much I know: if you think that something should be done, then do it. Don't expect divine intervention every time you, your loved ones (or anyone else for that matter) need help. Do something about it. They are already doing their best to survive there, and if you think that they should get help, help them!!! Go to the nearest Red Cross and donate what you can (or other channels, there are many ), or if you can't afford to do that, make a petition or sign one already started to you government, to initiate a help plan for the people of Haiti. Just don't sit on your asses and pray, trust me, I know, that never really helped anyone. I'm not ranting against religion here, don't get me wrong, this is not about that. I'm just saying that there is a time for prayer, and a time for action. You really think the people of Haiti are thinking right now : "Oh, thank God, people around the world are praying really hard for us, everything should be O.K. now, we are saved by the prayers, and our children won't die of disease and starvation"... Come on!!!
Please people, wake up those around you who are sleeping throughout their lives and take a look at the world. We need each other

Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing.
