I've been doing a lot of thinking about God over the past few days. I have yet to come to a definite conclusion as to his existence, but, if he does exist, I do not believe that such a place as hell exists. I kind of came to the same conclusions that the guy in the above video came to, but used slightly different reasoning. I did not consider the omniscience of God so much as I considered the issue of omnibenevolence. If this God is all good, all loving, then it would be impossible for him to damn anyone to hell for all eternity. I take my father, for example, who loves me more than anyone on this Earth loves me. There is absolutely nothing that I could ever do that would make him hate me. Even if I did something that was so horrible, that it did in fact make him hate me, there is still no way that he could ever damn me to an eternity of pure, unimaginable misery and torture. So if this God loves me more than my own father could ever even comprehend of loving me, how could he damn me to hell for eternity? I just don't think he could. Therefore, if a benevolent God does exist, there is no such thing as hell.
