Fall 2003: During my sophomore year of college, FC was a freshman at Indiana University. Pleides and others had spraypainted "NUBBLIES.NET" on a bridge for a Nubblies contest. I don't think FC knew any Nubblites IRL yet, but he got on and became a member. I checked it out, but wasn't too impressed at the time.
January 2004: Amazingly, I discovered I lived on the same dorm floor as Ugly Bastard and Tonguegina, and Orgazmo was a floor above I believe, and I think F3lix was around there too. Ugly Bastard and I had some classes and he convinced me to join the site.
AND MR. BLONDE, ONE OF THE MOST POLARIZING MEMBERS OF NUBBLIES, WAS BORN.

I have consistently tried to get my friends to sign up, and I would wager to say there are around 20 who have posted >100 posts and lost interest.
