When I asked, I was asking purely from a scientific standpoint. Maybe I'm a little bit more curious because of the nutrition class but even still, given the candid nature of nubblies, I never considered it might be an embarrassing topic. For the record, I'm lactose intolerant and shit liters if I eat more than a couple of slices of cheese.
Do you find yourself explaining it a lot or something? You got a little defensive.

It's Nubblies, I already said I didn't give a shit here, nor would I were you to ask me at a Nubblies gathering even -- I agree that it's much easier to talk about with friends. But in my personal experience, a LOT of people instinctively ask about symptoms, people who I don't know well and in very public situations, and it just always struck me as rude. It isn't even solely about me -- I've observed many times through my life other people have been asked by those without much tact and the awkwardness and/or stuttering lies about "oh my stomach just hurts.." because you don't want to tell a group of strangers about your shitting habits (once again, if you aren't a master of improv) is just unbearable.
There's nothing malicious about it, they're just curious -- lots of people don't think before they speak, I guess.
