None of you will win on this, and probably the only reason you are even defending it is because you don't regularly have to speak with retarded-sounding Mexicans. It is stupid and they should stop. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to speak in a foreign accent only when pronouncing your name when you live in a country where you mostly don't speak that foreign accent.
And FWIW, FC, I did change my pronunciation of my name when I spoke to Koreans -- because I'm not a braggardly entitled cunt and it made it easier for them to understand/pronounce.
