Does anyone have any of their original stuff on their computer? I've been hearing they (the mad cow boys) have been recording new and original stuff, but I've yet to hear it. When I saw them live a while ago, I watched for two hours straight and didn't hear any original music, but I do have faith that it exists...

If you put your post with Shaw's, then this is what you're saying... If A)You never stop learning and B)You learn by playing other peoples' stuff then c)There is no original music. Apparently all the music that we now have has been here since the begining of time, and we'll never get new music. ------------------------------ Now, what I'm saying is that they should be developed enough to be past the point that they play the music of others to learn. While continuing to learn and master their skills they need to go to the next step, which is original music.

Musician:: a composer, conductor, or performer of music; especially : INSTRUMENTALIST
The very first definition of this word is "a composer." Warsaw has been host to many'a'musician if you are speaking in the "ability to play" means of the word, hovever Warsaw has not seen many true musicians when it comes to understanding and using musical theory. Most of the "musicians" around here sit down with their guitar and mimic what others have done (i.e. Keggy or Hendrix), this to me is amazing, but is still mimicing. When it comes to composing music the masses of Warsaw are blind. In my opinion, the best musician that Warsaw High School has ever seen is Keith Priser (I don't know if I spelled that right, sorry if I didn't). Not only does he possess the ability to play instruments (yes that is plural) and is great at them, he also composes accual music, which consitst of sitting down with staff paper and putting the notes on the page. This to me is utterly oustanding and the mark of a truely great musician. |

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Ian Harrold, but the kid is a God at guitar. He moved to Nashville right out of high school to join a band. They're getting pretty big, playing gigs in Atlanta and shit. http://loversred.com
He's one of my good friends, so I'm biased, but the kid can rock on the strings. -Ugly Bastard |

I must agree with UB, Harrold is a God, but then again, having a slight handicap inableing me to be able to play guitar, I'm not one to judge. At the same time I must admit that I have recently met an underclassmen at Warsaw who completely blew my mind...although I can't remember his name, he is amazing. Then again, he might be inelligable for this considering he is moving quite soon.
