Well isn't that just adorable.
This compilation will be for you to contribute your favourite love song. This can be anything from a classic love song to a newer interpretation on the subject to something that just has a lot of significance to you on the subject of love. Let me make something clear: THIS IS NOT A SONG-OF-DEPRESSION ALBUM. WE WILL BE DOING A DEPRESSION ALBUM LATER. SO DO NOT PUT A BUNCH OF DEPRESSING SONGS ON HERE. ALSO, THE POINT IS TO HAVE SONGS THAT ONE COULD EASILY IDENTIFY AS A "LOVE-SONG". AS IN, A SONG THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO SHARE AS "YOUR SONG" WITH A SIGNIFICANT OTHER, OR THE LIKE. KAY? Alright, not to scare you, but I just wanted to make the distinction clear this time so that we didn't get mixed up. This should be a little easier than the NubFuck album, so don't be bashful. Song lengths along with artist names and titles children. Good songs guys.

fat_retard, while I honestly do respect your drive to be creative and desire to be atypical, and the fact that "Nerdy" is indeed about love, don't you think it's possible that your song might stick out just a little too much to give a whollistic and complete feel to the album? Like a sore, bleeding, infected, bulbous, puss-filled thumb? Maybe I'm just being picky. I just think that there's a world of music out there that you could choose from. That's the second Poison the Well song you've suggested. I'd think you'd want to challenge yourself to not use the same band twice. I could be proven wrong of course if a bunch of other people suggest hardcore songs to fill out the album... but then we'd have another NubFav or NubHate on our hands wouldn't we? And we don't want that. Ah fuck it, I'm just being a pretentious bastard. The song deserves to be on there. [ October 27, 2003, 04:32 PM: Message edited by: Titan ] | |

Anyway, you're totally right. Variety has always been #1 in my book, which is why I'm weary of having the same bands or styles on there all the time. But you're totally fine, I've just been paranoid about making these things actually work. It's a good song; I like it. It works well, thanks. I want to go with:
Ben Folds - The Luckiest so badly right now, but I think I need to look through my collection a little bit to see if there's any others that I want to put out for consideration. But for now, it's Ben. |
