Alright, this is just a little topic related to a few different subjects that I feel are of importance, but not enough importance to warrant an entire topic.

- In case you didn't know, Pete Yorn has a new album out, which arrived in stores April 15th. It's called Day I Forgot, and from my initial listening endeavours, it's not as strong as Musicforthemorningafter but it's still pretty strong. For a good taste of what the album sounds like, check out Pass Me By or Crystal Village. If you haven't heard Pete Yorn at all, check out For Nancy (Cos It Already Is), On Your Side, or Undercover, which is off the Spiderman soundtrack.

- I'm not sure if all of you know this, but I know that this is widely known. However, I want to inform you all that Radiohead is releasing a new album, which....alright, I know that it has the word 'thief' in it. I forget the rest of the title. I'll look it up and get back to you all on that one.

Anyway, a big goodie that is going to be included on this album is going to be a reworked, updated version of their first radio hit, Creep. Now, I hope this doesn't mean that they're changing the song around, but to me, this sounds mighty drool-worthy. Creep is one of my favorite Radiohead songs, and from what I've heard, it's a big favorite here. So this is big news, and as always, I'm definitely looking forward to their 6th album.

I haven't heard anything as to what the style will be, but I don't really care. They've proved themselves to be geniuses at whatever they do, so until June, my panties are in a knot.

- The Boston trio, Guster will be releasing their 4th studio album, Keep It Together on June 24th.

News is that it will contain less pop-oriented sounds, meaning this isn't going to be another Lost And Gone Forever. They said that if you want to get a good taste for what it will the musical feel will be, check out the song All The Way Up To Heaven, which is off of Lost And Gone Forever.

Personally, I didn't like the track at first. But as of right now, 3 years after the release of their latest album, it's one of my favorites. So I'm highly anticipating this new full album, which is going to be released by the same producers who have worked with such faves as Dave Matthew's Band and Barenaked Ladies. This is extremely good news for all the fans. We've been given little treats throughout these past few months that they've been in the studio, such as different versions of a great little ditty, Ramona, and alot of new material being presented at their shows.

If you have yet to hear the ultra-hip goodness of Guster, check out such songs as The Airport Song, Demons, Happy Frappy, and Barrel Of A Gun. This should give you a well-rounded view of their talents, and hopefully, will incite you to pick up a few of their previous albums. Trust me, they're worth it.

- I have had the pleasure of being able to check out a few bands and solo acts that are definitely under the radar, but deserve to be recognized a little bit more. Here's some good stuff that I would recommend for you.

The Postal Service - Such Great Heights, Nothing Better

Heard of Death Cab For Cutie? Well, take the front man of that group, and combine him with a little techno artist, Dtron, and you'll get The Postal Service. Now, this isn't hard hitting, fast break beating techno like you know. And this isn't head banging indy rock. This is mostly melodic vocals intertwined with an excellent batch of sounds, interesting beats, and incredibly catchy riffs and tunes. Check out the above two songs, and you'll see what I mean.

Sondre Lerche - Sleeping On Needles

This guy may be a little....down-timey for you guys, but his folk rocky sound brought from Norway (yeah, I know, but trust me) is most definitely something that should at least be given a try.

Well, hopefully this illuminates some of your interests, and if not....well, you just wasted your precious time. And I'm not sorry.

Oh, and lest I forget (which I did...shame on me), Autechre just released their newest album on April 9th. I'm going to hand this to Titan since he has all the shit you need to know about this fantastic group and this highly anticipated new album. Take it away buddy.

Thank you for the very informative and interesting post you just gave us. And Radiohead's new cd is to be called Hail to the Thief. It's looking to be a very good compilation by this awesome group. I look forward to these releases.

Yeah, I knew I could edit it, but I'm a post count whore now that there have been a number of regulars reaching 1000, and here I am a measly 676....so I decided to just add it on in a different post.

It's not like it hurt anything.

Oh, and thanks for the full Radiohead album name. A good friend of mine said that she talked to one of her friends who was able to listen to at least half the album already, and they said that it was great. Looks like Radiohead may have another amazing album on their hands....but who didn't expect that?

I listened to it for a few days (before I of course deleted it, knowing it was the right thing to do, being the shitruff copy of the album and all) and it was a piece of master.

This whole thread could have taken place in the "Recommusak" thread, which is to inform people of new things in the music scene, but hey, that's alright, we can go ahead and make the Review category more complicated if you want, I won't throw a fit or anything.

Hey Chuck i got a question for you. I didn't know where to ask it because it didn't want to make a thread just for it, so this seemed like the logical place to ask it.

What is the name of that song you play with the line, take a shower and shine you shoes, you got no time to loose,your a young man you must be livin, go now you are forgiven... in it??

And is it possible to download it?? I am not sure if it is a song that you wrote or a acctual band song.
