Another Brick in the Wall

So, I just had this FM radio station recommended to me. It's apparently run out of Columbia City High School, and can be picked up quite well in Warsaw, and can be listened to online. It seems to be NPR, or something-like, which means that it doesn't have commercials. They also seem to play pretty consistently good music. They call themselves "Alternative," as I suppose they are. If you want to see the artists they play, check out their website. No, it's not perfect, but it's better than most of the other crap on the radio. |

Yeh, I just went to that site, and looked at the songs coming up. They all fucking sucked, with the exception of one Depeche Mode song. That station sucks. If you want good music, just go to www.purevolume.com.

Again, I'm not saying that it's perfect. And even if it was in my eyes, you're entitled to your opinion.
All I'm saying is, when I don't even have a tape player in my stupid car, it's better than most other radio stations out there. Also, it's apparently student run, so it could be better at some times than others. Or, you could just hate everything on it. I simply made this post because I had not heard of this station, which can be listened to in Warsaw, before. [ April 21, 2004, 07:53 PM: Message edited by: rla128 ] |

I just looked at the artist list, has to be one of the worst I have ever seen. Give me ten minutes of that shit and you will have me off murding masses.
Butcher, you always come through. I am very much in love with purevolume. DJ, I didn't even click on the link. Why? I know what to expect from you; 'Nigger'dly-Techno Shit. [ April 22, 2004, 09:47 AM: Message edited by: Niger Angelus ] |

I must admit...I spoke too soon about this station. While driving around today at approximately 2:00 pm, there were quite a few good songs playing from the 90's that I remember and love. While one hit wonders, they were still good nonetheless. What I have decided probably happens, is that the music is only good during school hours, when the students are running it. After that, it sucks total dick.

Told you.
Ah, yes, they played Champagne Supernova in its entirety the other day, which just made me happy. I repeat myself, I'm not saying this station is the best. All I'm saying is that when I don't even have a tape player in my car, it's better than most other radio stations, which are even worse. Alpha: feel free to think what you want. To add to your suspicions, my second favorite radio station is probable 91.1 out of Goshen College. What do they play? Classical, folk, and blues. I feel do feel old. Did I mention I went to a classical concert in Ft. Wayne the other day? |

Butcher I am proud of your for admitting that you may have slightly changed your mind. I myself agree with RLA. The station isn't the greatest but when you don't have any form of music other than the radio, its better than most of the other stations. The playlist may look like shit, but alot of what they really play isnt on that playlist. During the school day they arent half bad.
