For people who care about more than gay-ass stats:

a. What major villains will we see when Bane breaks open Arkham? We know the Joker is out (although they may try to pull some sort of reference to him), we're probably for sure seeing Scarecrow again, and I hear that Ra's al Ghul simply will not fucking die. I'd like to see some more of the traditional Batman villains also, though. Mad Hatter would be nicer, Poison Ivy is probably pushing it given the previous horrible rendering of Bane/PI.

b. Will Azrael be making an appearance?

c. Will Bane break Batman's back?

d. Will we get an awesome batman re-training cutscene?

Does it seem like this movie has been advertised differently? As opposed to The Dark Knight, we've seen almost nothing in terms of teasers... can't really tell what happens in this movies from the trailers. Probably because they think (correctly) that everyone will see this movie, and probably in IMAX, whatever-the-fuck-they-do. NOT pleased that I won't be seeing this movie until next week.

I really hope it blows my mind but I've found that when it comes to cinema these days, I have a terrible case of cynical asshole syndrome. I'm trying to enjoy new movies but I keep getting let down. It's been a long time since I've really been wow-ed.

I would put the impact of this shooting at -$30 million or so ... this country is full of overreacting sheep.

90% of our country believes these once in a lifetime events are trends ... look at airport security for example.

People will be less likely to see it for the following reasons:

they will be depressed about it happening
they will feel its disrespectful to go see it
they will feel like it could happen to them
people who were on the fence will move over to the "not see it"
less people opening weekend = less word of mouth
news coverage of the movie will be all about the shooting, not about the quality of the movie - less people will see it

Unlike the Tom Cruise Lover's thoughts, I thought it was amazing. You'll need to have seem the first movie for it to all make sense, but it's full of references and symbolism, on top of tickling the batman lovers with accuracies to the original storyline from the comic books. Bane is incredible. I never dreamed it would come close to The Dark Knight, but it did. It's a perfect closing to a trilogy and Nolan gave us what we wanted.

I know dick about Batman outside of these movies. I liked it better than the first, not as much as the second. Bane was a pussy compared to the joker.

I also know dick about these movies as a whole. So this series is over now? I don't like that.

Overall it was epic, and a fitting end to the trilogy. I thought Bane was great, though nothing could live up to The joker--we all knew this going in. Hathaway was surprisingly good as Catwoman, and it was Bale's best performance in the entire trilogy; his scene with Cain were amazing. I felt parts of the movie were rushed, strangely enough, since it was almost three hours long, and I wish the pacing would have been smoother. Nolan bit off a little too much and wasn't able to give everything the attention it deserved.

Still, awesome movie. I give it an 8.8 out of 10.

I've had a hardon for Tom Hardy ever since I saw him in Bronson. Decent villain.

However, there were a lot of small annoying things in this movie that prevented me from fully enjoying it and whittled away my suspension of disbelief. was a timebomb going off in the last couple seconds the best plot device they could think of?
