try incorporating either curdled cheese, yogurt, or both into your diet as well. both are fairly high in protein, and pretty cheap.

Any other alternatives I could incorporate into my diet, without causing myself great pain and hunger? Like snack foods, drink choices, etc? Anything I do is better then nothing.

I mainly drink water, milk, and grape juice. And alcohol. But that won't help. Man i don't see how people can't be yogurt people, they have all sorts of flavors nowadays, like strawberry cheesecake, key lime pie, etc...delicious.

I just need to find myself a half way decent routine, involving starting my day out by eating the same thing, drinking the same thing, etc. Also need to keep up on taking these multi-vitamins everyday, my actual workouts, and possibly soon these protein supplements, im still debating getting them, although its quite tempting. Ive tried to work out in the past on several occasions, and the longest I usually last is about 2 months. After then its kind of discouraging, because results are so slow, I get lazy/unmotivated etc. And im guessing the reason my results were minimal, was because I was half assing it.

Okay, I dont have that much money to work with here, but I think I could afford the casein at night, and the whey at least after each workout. I am making a conscious effort to drink milk more often, and other little things, like getting a chicken sandwich instead of a burger when I get fast food or something. Not that I should be getting fast food at all, but I told ya its going to be really hard for me to drastically change my diet, so what im doing is better then nothing.</font>[/quote] Theres really not much difference between chicken and a burger at a fast food restaraunt, get whatever tastes better.

Well I just ordered some whey and casein protein. I plan to take a scoop of the whey in milk after each workout, and a scoop of casein in milk before bed at night.
Ill keep you all updated on my progress. |

What about when you stop taking the supplements? I've heard from some people that if they continue lifting after stopping taking creatine they see a loss in their strength and performance.

I was taking creatine for about 5 months and I recently stopped. I've noticed a big difference in my lifts. I can't go nearly as hard now and I need longer breaks inbetween. It sucks, but I'm focusing more on basketball right now and less on weight lifting.

I have been off all suppliments for about a year. I just started back up again. But, during the time off I didn't notice any loss in strength. What I id notice was prior to getting back on the supliments, I was hurting in the gym when I went to lift, because I was lifting the day after MMA training or Jiu-jitsu training. MY shoulders were killing me, triceps, etc. Yesterday I went and did chest, and I was repping 275 ( 8 times) with no problem and no spotter, and it felt light.

Got the whey protein today. Took a scoopful right after my workout. I started a little spreadsheet today as well to keep track of any improvements. I also ordered some casein, but it was on a backorder, it should be coming in about a week I think.

Casein actually came in today as well. The whey seems alright to me, and it has mixed fine into both water or milk. However tonight I tried the casein in milk, and it wouldn't dissolve for the life of me. I tried a spoon, and got out the egg beater thing as well. I was drinking chunks of it, it was aweful. Any clue why? It seems to be a different type of powder then the whey, but theres got to be a better way to have it dissolve, I cant stand drinking it this way.
Maybe because I am using whole milk and its too think to dissolve in? Let me know... cause this sucked. I drank it regardless, but it wasn't that much fun. |
