All of England's military technology reverts to its 1945 equivalent. The queen decides to invade Ireland (which retains its modern military.) No other country intervenes.

It's 2011, but the british can only use 1945 resources.

Do you mean just England or the UK?

Either way though, 1945 equipment is not as bad as it might sound at first, eventually though, the manpower and resources of the UK would pay off, but at enormous cost of lives.

I think Ireland would be able to win the first major battle in taking Northern Ireland, and then just get ground down over time.
