Fine, while we're covering up this perfectly good topic. I'll go ahead and put a passage from the Book of Titan's Wife on here. Sorry to kick a dead dog in the nose, but there are some interesting valid points in here.
"I very much enjoy the analogy with Love and God. Going off of that, I think some people spend their whole lives searching for love and try so hard to be perfect that they miss the fact that it's been there all along. What could have been their saving grace was simply misplaced in hopes of something better, something more "perfect". If they would have opened their eyes to realize that all they were searching for is right there. They spend too much time worrying about it or being afraid of it, instead of just embracing it. love is different for each person, as is a belief in God. Who knows what really IS? Only one's self. I really think it's impossible to completely love someone. If you did, their would be no room to grow. I think you love as much as you possibly can, but as things change you realize that you can love more and more. Like knowledge, some people think they know everything - or think they are in love right away. It's those who humbly say that they understand, or feel, love from someone and can give it back that really know." That's a damn good stance that I hadn't really thought of so much in my life. Saying you love someone completely is just about as ridiculous as saying you know everything or you're perfect. Word to that. |
