I'm going to be playing this game this week. I may get it... I don't know. It takes forever to load up--but the graphics are awesome.

Free 7 Day Trial--Let me know if you get it and wanna go out and kill stuff sometime.

Thought I'd post a screenshot to hopefully spark some interest.

I came across this building...it's currently being built. You have to gain skill--or hire someone out to build the house.

It's overlooking ocean at sunset...how cool is that? --Time changes from/night day...

Looks pretty cool, you might want to check out star wars galaxies, it has alot of the same features, but its on a much bigger scale.

entire economy on this is based on players...can't buy anything from NPCs. sort of sucks a little bit, but is really pretty cool in the long run.

Hey sometime tonight if I remember ill get ya a picture or 2 from SWG. Star wars galaxies graphics are some much better. Also in SWG its got the same player driven economy. Players with the architech skill have to build our houses, can just buy them from the NPC. Theres vehicles, mounts, and did I mention its fucking star wars?

Im not a star wars freak, but I liked the movies, and that was enough for me. I mean, who didnt like the movies? Hell, I even hate sci fi shit, but not star wars.

Star wars galaxies was made so that as technology got better, so would our gameplay. So as of right now it can be pretty hard on systems, but as time goes by, and we get better systems, its just going to run and look better and better. I recently upgraded from 512-768 ram, and just that small upgrade made a HUGE performance boost for the game, its almost like its the magic number.

Like I said, ill get some nice pictures of my dude and various shit in the game tonight if I get around to it.

and the game costs a fricken $50 to begin with. i wouldn't even know if i would like it

Ya, 256 would definetely be pushing it. It would run, but in popular areas and inside towns youd be laggin like a mother. Need at least 512 IMO.

If they ever off a free trial thing though ill try to remember and post a link to it here. The game's been out for less then a year, so they arent in need of more players that bad yet. Even tho a free trial wouldn't hurt.

wish my computer was good enough. i figured it was the ram since it's a 1.6

horizon takes a good 5-10min to load up.

Ya, SWG prob takes 5 mins max, thats if I logged off in a populated area. I assumed that you would have a nice computer since you host all those servers and such.

The crazy thing too is my graphic setting are only like 1/5th of the way up. Max would be major lag for me.

But I also have a geforce 4 TI 4600 128 meg video card. Its not that great compared to the new shit, but its not that bad either.

Ahh see, and ive always assumed that you ran that server hosting company from your home. Someone sent me your site link and I assumed you did that as a side job or something.

That sucks though, laptops arent great for gaming unfortunetely, it probably would be too expensive to upgrade.

was pretty nice when i got it. 2 years ago i think...64mb geforce4 i believe

has ran everything up until this horizon game flawlessly

I'm thinking I may get this game...I dunno (Horizons). I really like medieval atmosphere. I think starwars would be cool..but it sounds like too big of requirements.

Dont buy anything untill the trial is up. I know the game might be really fun right now, but often with MMORPG after a little while you realize youve been completing boring yourself with something you thought was fun.

Many become very tedious or repeative, and you realize this after a few days. Or you realize the game lacks way more content then you think.

Im not saying SWG doesnt become the same old shit after awhile, because It can, you just sometimes have to create your own fun in an MMORPG.
