El Domain - Nubblies.net Forums

Nubblies.com is being a bastard. Why it's being a bastard is something I can't explain. It appears as if another person has registered it for a year (beginning march 22...or something like that). With that in mind, unless we want to wait for awhile, we will need to come up with something else. Of course, immediate candidates include "Nubblies.net" and "Nubblies.org"; however, other extensions exist. Other possibilities include .us, .biz, .info, .tv, .ws, and .nu

It should be noted that .ws, .nu, and .tv are more expensive than the others (and possibly .info as well). I've already paid enough to get the rest...meaning it'd be no more money.

I like the ring of Nubblies.net. Sure, it'll be sad to say a final goodbye to Nubblies.com...but who knows, perhaps we'll meet again in a year.

Give me some feedback so we can make this happen.

I vote Nubblies.net all the way. Even though ".net" is far gayer than ".com", I still say we get it, and put all of this non-Nubblies Domain shit behind us.

Nubblies.net in and of itself doesn't sound too bad. I was just saying that in general ".net" sites just don't seem as chipper as ".com" sites.

Nonetheless, Nubblies.net does have a certain ring to it that I'm sure I'll get used to.

Question is: Do we change the heading on the page to "Nubblies.net Forums" and go full-boar on this calfclit or what?

Understandable Mr. Bastard, very understandable.

Also, I say we go ahead and change everything to .net, included the actual name and logo of the site. The way I see it, we're stuck with .net, we might as well make the best of it, who knows, you may grow to love it.

Not a horribly bad idea about the slight facelift of the sight. Perhaps this could be done, but maybe some ideas thrown Mr. Orgazmo's way could help him out.

Yes, this won't be a half assed production. After the change, we won't be browsing The Nubblies.com Forums anymore.

I'm all for facelifting...but, as Mr. Cent suggested, ideas are needed. I'm not the best when it comes to that type of thing...

I think it would be cool if we had a "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of each thread, so we could just start typing out reply without having to actually click "reply".

I'm all for completely re-vamping the appearance of the site, I think that'd be cool.

I think it would be kind of cool to have nubblies be updated a little. I think we should still keep the colors, and most of the general format, but a little face lift wouldn't hurt anything. As I stated already in this post, I am willing to help with anything I can Orgazmo, so if you need help, just send some requests my way and I will do what I can.

Alright, as you can see (if you're here), the domain is up and running. I'm still working on a few small things that aren't working right (news fader on mainpage which hasn't worked since we moved the first time, automatic logon doesn't seem to be doing too well), but, for the most part, we're doing alright.

Now, this is big. Tell everyone that Nubblies is now found at Nubblies.net. Greatoast now is shit. Going there will give you a congratulations message of sorts...but no Nubblies. We have to spread this via word of mouth. Right now, RIGHT NOW go ahead and send a mass ICQ message. Go ahead...

Alright, good work. You'll be rewarded soon enough. If you don't recognize your reward, don't worry, it's there.

Hey, it's not a problem.

Another thing: Go to your profile and update your avatar. I would go through everyone's profile and update the .com's to .net, delete the blueoptics, and switch out the greatoasts...but that'd take forever...so I'll go ahead and leave that up to you. All you really have to do is go to your profile & highlite whatever avatar you presently have...then click apply. Don't forget to keep your pirate/ninja affiliation though. It defaults to the gay flag anytime you open your profile...another thing I should fix

On a sidenote, I realize the logo is kinda shitty right now...but I kinda wanna emphasize to everyone that .NET IS VERY IMPORTANT. Also, I can't get "Nubblies.net" to look just like "Nubblies.com" did...and it bugs me when things aren't very very close to how they should be...or how I think they should be, at least.

I like the new page divides so you can go straight to a certain page of a thread, it's a nice feature.

Could you get rid of that stupid Percentages crap though that shows up at the top of all the different forums? It cramps up a helluva lot of space, and it doesn't really do anything

Yeah, that really is a good call. Everytime we move servers, the "hits" to each forum seem to get erased...making things a bit messed up. I would get rid of them too since most of them are at 0 right now...but I'm hoping that they'll start keeping track again since we're stable...
